When I said,"deflate their debt",I meant reduce the value of the debt by inflating the currency.I hope there was no misunderstanding.Clearly that would be a spin-off from QE,but not the prime reason for it.The prime reason is obviously to kick start the economy and thereby reduce unemployment.Even if helpful,it will be a long drawn out recovery process.All good for gold!
