Assange chose to release the vast amount of documents unredacted, since Wikileaks, and the others you mentioned, did not have the resources to redact the documents within a timeframe suitable his political agenda.
So HE made the decision to post the remaining documents unredacted, thereby potentially placing some people named in those documents in immediate mortal danger.
I distinctly remember this, as it is the cornerstone of my issues with Assange; so, don't try to gaslight me.
