That's capitalism. If you want to see dodgy, look at titomic's recent rise and the shares issued to various parties. It's a game of keeping the lights on, until a product is recognized for its worth (or not), which in my opinion isn't far away. If we were at titomic's refreshed valuation (for less of a sales runway), would you be complaining as a holder? Me personally, no.
Do you think record labels paying for tracks to be run on radios / advertising an artist on social media is dodgy, or just a good business decision to ensure a return on investment and that tickets sell for an upcoming tour. I'm sure the caterers and cleaners at the venues aren't considering the dodginess.
