I have never said that Big Sandy would not get drilling approval from BLM. In fact, I participated in the survey of how much I thought the share price would be inflated when the non-event happened. I was wrong about that, because by the time the decision came most people realized that the federal courts have the final word. In 2022, I was predicting the favorable BLM decision might come before the September 30 end of the fiscal year.

The Hualapai are a small tribe but they have the financial resources to delay drilling until it becomes apparent that clay mining has no future in lithium exploration. They may ultimately fail, like their neighbors the Havasupai seem to have done after a decade of opposition to uranium mining that threatens their aquifers and sacred lands. But the delay may be enough to achieve the same results as the Thacker Pass litigation. A slow death on the Nevada high desert.
