Ah.
That old chestnut that the Dud also slipped in to his uninformed brain fart .
" which country in the world solely relies on renewables for their power source? "
As far as l know there is no country that runs off 100% renewables in 2024.
However...........
That is only because we haven't got there yet . Technically we haven't tried because it takes decades to build the infrastructure to do so . Up until now no one has bothered to try . lt's as simple as that .
So anyone that says they renewables can't run a grid is just blowing smoke.
To say that no country runs off renewables doesn't mean that they can't .
People once said that man can't fly . How did that pan out ?
What we do know for certain is that renewables can provide grid scale power .
Batteries can be built and function at grid scale.
Renewables and battery storage are getting cheaper year on year. As are bevs etc .
We know we can use green hydrogen to produce chemicals . Another process where the cost of production is falling rapidly .
Modelling from people like RethinkX and Dave Osmond among many many others have demonstrated that entire grids can run off renewables plus storage . Using real world weather and generation data. Fact. Not fiction .
Real data from the NEM shows that renewables are replacing coal more and more every year.
Around the world we have seen countries like the Uk get off coal . Germany got over 50% of it's annual electricity from renewables last year . California, the 5th largest economy on the planet , gets more of its evening peak power from batteries than from anything else . These are feats that get bigger each years as more infrastructure is built.
So.....RWNJ shock jock myth busted .
l look forward to busting the next factless brain fart that you put up.
