Nothing new here. People rejecting power lines running via there land holding's, same with solar farms, solar farms have already proven that sheep grazing is great in and around solar farms.
I'm pretty sure people will also reject a nuclear reactor in there back yard. Now power lines yes some already installed from the coal fired plants but if you increase the out put you will also have an urgent need to upgrade those delivery systems.
So the whole upshot of this so called news piece is much ado about sweet FA.
I can't see the farmers getting much sympathy in the long run if people in the city can't run there AC.
Farmers are currently getting 40K per year per turbine on there land. once that becomes general knowledge do you think city folk will be on the farmers side??
