Interesting article but saying Haber has been shelved in favor of a power plant seems far from what has really happened. It would also seem the the Haber concept was really visionary but perhaps not enough gas and not enough money were always going to be problems for a minnow like Strike and it has not been heard of for quite some time. It also seems like something along the lines of Haber would be in the national interest if all urea at the moment is being imported along with the diesel additive Adblue, I think? If Haber was dependent on SE being an underground volcano and filled to spill it would appear that they had more than a good idea that this an unrealistic expectation quite some time ago. I wonder what the anti fossil fuel fraternity (at any cost) think about the fertilizer situation as it applies to Australian farmers and the cost to the country of importing fertilizer?
