Western democracies ossify and degrade when they take support from 'The People' for granted.
We saw this play out big time throughout inner metro seats at the May 2022 Federal Election - the Liberal Party was reduced to political rubble as 'Teals' were swept into Parliament in place of Liberals used to taking their 'safe blue ribbon seats' for granted.
It's my assessment that Labor is now guilty of doing much the same as it closely aligns itself to Biden's Administration and to Netanyahu's Regime while turning its back to the pain, suffering, loss and grief of Palestinian civilians. Labor's quandary reflects just how well the Jewish Community is served within Labor ranks and just how poorly Labor has been serving our Muslim Communities.
The addition of Teals to our Federal Parliament has greatly improved it. If senator Fatima Payman now abandons Labor and instead energises more Muslims to become better engaged with our federal Parliament that should lead to fairer outcomes for all Australians.
