I am putting this Rock Stock interview with Ana Cabral-Gardner CEO Sigma Lithium on this SYA thread, because much of what she has to say is general in nature.

I really got interested toward the end when she started talking about Sigma becoming a mid-stream producer of lithium sulphate, something that PLS is also doing.

It is not in Sigma’s plans to refine lithium hydroxide or lithium carbonate.

The intention is for Sigma to apply the same principles to producing lithium sulphate that the have to producing concentrate ie low cost, green and high purity.

She went on to explain that China is able to dominate down-stream refining firstly because they got into it first and secondly because they have industries that consume most of the waste by-products from refining, (the cement industry being one).

As for SYA going a similar route, JB in a reply to an email I sent himabout that subject, said that mid-stream processing would come under consideration but more likely at Moblan.

Listening to what Ana had to say about how much less complicated it is to produce lithium sulphate makes me believe, NAL could do it too.
