After conceding the gov is taking 35%, can you explain to me why “Everybody with a right-mind is voting yes to the sale…”
If, and that’s the key here, IF the gov has no on going conflict with LLL, after taking a chuck of ownership, taking control of Morila and enjoying settlement, maintaining 26% of a world class, low cost, lithium mine site doesn’t appear to be such a bad deal… LLL would profit heavily, even at todays lithium price and at only 26%.
The lower ownership would assist LLl in affording to pay there share in finalising production / stage 2…
It all depends on the Gov willingness to work with LLL, and TBH, this announcement fails to highlight a distaste for LLL by the gov if that is actually the case
us$350m before taxes vs 26% silent partner… board perhaps wouldn’t like it as it would cost some of them their jobs and performance incentives due to change of control event hit if it is sold
