I’ve been doing a bit of reading in the use of lead isotopes as uranium pathfinders.
Lead-206 is the end product of uranium decay and lead-207 the end product of thorium decay.
Normal soil has half the amount of lead-206 compared to lead-204.
Excess lead-206 is proportional to uranium levels. The lead-206 tends to form a halo around the uranium mineralisation and elevated levels are often found before elevated U is detected.
Note how all the samples have lead-206 much higher than the lead-204, even the samples with low U.
Note the highlighted lead-206 value is much greater than all the others (more than double the other overlimit U readings) indicating that this sample likely has a U assay proportionally higher also.
