Most of the Mulga Bill high grade hits were deeper with some of the ultrahigh hits close to end of hole, so we don't know how far they go. If we can drill a few holes to show the high grades run much deeper it would exponentially increase the blue-sky potential and the associated market FOMO as well as the attention of the majors wanting to throw money at us for a piece of the unicorn pie.I don't think we should commit too much to deep drilling, but I think we need a bit of balance. As good as the shallows are, it's not really moving the dial. I think the cost of a few deeper holes would be repaid in spades by helping us to CR at prices many multiples of where we are now.
This comment from Von is right on the money in my mind,as I said to Brucie K I had done a bit of study on these intermediate sulfidation epithermal deposit as Patto seems to think this might be,probably right, and with the intermediate type most of the higher grade veins are between 350mts to 500 meter area with most veins running for up to 350 mts in length often up to 10 meters wide with often a high grade core of 1 to 3 mts at anywhere from 30th g/t to over 200 g/t and in cases above 1000 g/t which we have already hit.If my brain was a bit younger I would work out you could get up to 50000 ounces from each vein ?
But how exactly do epithermal gold deposits form? Groundwater is key to the process — when it comes into contact with hot molten rocks deep underground, the silicate minerals in the rocks are dissolved, as are metals within the sedimentary rocks, including gold, silver, lead and zinc. This hydrothermal fluid then moves into open spaces, such as cracks, joints and faults in the rock. Eventually the hydrothermal fluid cools, creating high-grade mineralized vein systems.
    For example, low- and intermediate-sulfidation
epithermal deposits commonly contain high-grade or bonanza
ore shoots and lower grade, disseminated, stockwork, and (or)
breccia ores that may represent juxtaposition of different parts of
a single hydrothermal system or ores formed at different times
Now the piece I found about depth gave examples of all 3 types high/inter and low sulfidation deposits but I cant find it again but it did highlight what could be a bit deeper.Having been forced up from below toward the surface running from the south s/w down to north east north plunge the deeper veins would be below MB north maybe,I would like GBR to do some deeper holes into mulga bill maybe change drill orientation also but follow known veins.
