It would be a very tough situation for sure, and, while not a perfect solution, that’s what palliative care is for.
Now if medical professionals upping the dosage of medications to relieve pain also has the consequence of ending a patient’s life, then I guess that would be considered a welcome outcome, given the circumstances.
