@peejay2. I love CBA. Been there. Done that. Sold way too early. FWIW, I wouldn't top up or DRP on CBA at the present moment. However I wouldn't sell any shares either unless there was a personal reason where you needed to do so. It's a keeper IMO. As for the rest (NAB, WBC, ANZ) > they are poor imitations. Every market commentator talks about valuation comparisons with the other 3, but just look at the long term charts. Enough said.
As for the rest of your question. It's too broad.
Again FWIW. The smaller the company (market cap) the more uncertainty, the greater the risk, the more you need to rely on your technical analysis skills.
Forget the broker hype. Forget the management blue sky crap. Look at the chart. Pick an entry point, Pick an exit point (stop loss or take profit).
As for managed funds > Happy to share my research or industry experience. Name the sector.
