Eleckra Mines' spectacular hits continue with 182 g/t gold at Central Bore
With continued bonanza style gold hits at Central Bore, Eleckra Mines (ASX: EKM) potentially could uncover a new gold region in Australia.
New significant intercepts include:
- 6 metres @ 35 g/t gold from 237 metres, including 1 metre @ 182 g/t gold;
- 1 metres @ 19.14 g/t gold from 272 metres;
- 5 metres @ 4.07 g/t gold from 274 metres;
- 4 metres @ 2.75 g/t gold from 230 metres; and
- 3 metres @ 3.5 g/t gold from 233 metres.
The current third reverse circulation drilling program at Central Bore has completed 13 holes for 3257 metres.
Ian Murray, chairman, said, "These continued high grade intercepts at Central Bore reinforce our belief that we are uncovering a potential new gold region in Australia.
"Further drilling of the numerous targets that we have around Central Bore will assist us in gaining a better understanding of the regional geology."
Eleckra anticipates the current reverse circulation drilling program to be completed by the end of the year, with a maiden JORC resource in early 2011.
Eleckra owns tenements covering over 4,000k of the Yamarna greenstone belt, adjacent to the 500 kilometre long Yamarna shear zone which lies north of the recently discovered 6 million ounce AngloGold-Ashanti / Independence's Tropicana deposit."
