I’m not sure our government would know how to handle it. They would know that the biggest Super funds in this country are deeply into it. In fact, many of our well known funds seem to almost brag about it, saying it provides their members with income from the shorts while also going long elsewhere, or long again on the same stock they just helped short to hell.
So basically they are robbing Peter to pay Paul and then reversing the favour, and nobody in authority dares to touch it. It’s skewed so far out of whack it’s now like a plague.
Mums and Dads are being shafted as ordinary investors so the BEOT and Super funds can look good.
