IMO: It seems to be fault-hosted, the plateau is the orogenic result of the fault, and the talus zone is the decay of the lowly mineralised rock in its cliff-face.
White = flat loam zone
Blue = talus till zone
Red = cliff zone
The radiometrics outline the decaying talus zone pretty closely, where the till from the cliff face has settled.
Best case: the halo mineralisation is beneath (and previously above) the talus zone, and that there are enough lodes of high grade (nuggety, as the geo on X described) material to raise the general grade. This agrees with the 'unconformity' fault thesis that people are talking about.
