AZM is not an exploration company.

They are rent seekers. They buy land then sit on it, hoping someone will pay them enough to buy it.

There is a reason governments offer exploration companies tenements cheaply. There is a reason that governments require some drilling within a period of time after a tenement has been granted. They want exploration companies to explore the tenement to unlock its economic benefit.

To force another party to pay a premium for a tenement to a rent seeker prevents much genuine exploration from taking place. It domain name squatting in the real world. To many of these companies, it has become a lucrative game.

There is no risk from drilling dusters and they lay largely dormant (even though directors remain well paid) until they occasionally they hit the jackpot. Someone needs or wants their land. When you invest in AZM, this appears to be the investment thesis. You have said enough on the AZM CEO forum.

IMO this is the reason Canadian exploration companies are dying - they CR to pay their salaries but not to undertake drilling to find something. Then they wonder why they struggle to raise capital, in contrast to their ASX counterparts.

There are lifestyle companies on the ASX for sure, but I am shocked by how many of them there are on the TSX.

No wonder there are so many Aussies doing the heavy lifting in Canada.

You seem concerned about my reference to Winsome being bought out. This is the reality of companies that derisk a prospective mine of a world class asset. The big boys will pay what it takes to buy them out. The big boys do very little exploration of their own now days.
