That's some intriguing M&A activity within our glaucoma sector. The deal equates to nearly AU$700 million, or approximately 14 times our market capitalization. Alcon appears eager to expand their glaucoma business.
As an AU$65 billion entity, Alcon must surely be aware of Nova Eye, the iTrack Advance's progress in gaining market share, and our 2RT technology.
I believe today's share price appreciation is a combination of Eye's impending sales update and this recent M&A activity.
