Mate, you are saying all this because you are imagining yourself in Blackstone's CEO's shoes and you are thinking like a layman retailer. The plain fact is that you have no clue whatsoever about anything that Blackstone does and how it does it.

Private equity are hardcore sharks and specialists in turning bsuinesses around and disposing for a profit. One bad deal (even if YOU call it that) is not going to make them sit idle on it, waiting for some miracle (like a retailer).

Blackstone is one of the best in the world at what it does, has massive influence and capital and they will turn around their casino business with whatever they can, and that too aggressively! This is just the general nature of PE firms.

Buying SGR, is a lucrative proposition if they want to turnaround their casion business downunder. I see the sings, maybe others including you, don't. That's fine.

We WILL see a takeover offer from a consortium lead by Blackstone. But this is my personal opinion, dyor.
