News: Europe Distillates-Diesel refining margins edge higher on lower imports

LONDON, July 5 (Reuters) - Northwest European diesel barge refining margins rose slightly to about $20.6 a barrel on Friday, as a fall in import volumes supported

• Four diesel barges traded in the Platts window, down from nine in the previous session, as Shell sold to Hartree and Glencore.

• Independently held gasoil stocks in storage in the Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp (ARA) refining and storage hub were largely steady in the week to July 4 at 2.18 million metric tons, data from Dutch consultancy Insights Global showed.

• EU and UK diesel and gasoil imports stood at about 1 million barrels per day in June, nearly 20% below May levels, Kpler data showed.

• Russia's energy ministry said on Friday that diesel inventories stood at 3.38 million tons as of early July, up 8% from the last-year period respectively.
