First though many think it is Gallium atomic # 31 is not even close to a rare earth which is said in your article. China is a major supplier of this but not as dominate as the rare earths. It is used in high voltage and high speed semi conductors and its use is growing rapidly. The first transistor used Gallium but silicone replaced it and it was dormmate except for a few very specialized applications for decades.

geranium # 32 is also not in the rare earth (latheum) series. It is used in very small quantities in semi conductors for enhancing Doping Materiels,

Two points Lynas does not mine either of these at Mt Weld. Do not know for sure but are they in Mt weld in recoverable quantities?

This is all political posturing and even if Lynas has them, it would be years before these had any impact on Lynas's bottom line.
