There was some good and some bad in last night's highly anticipated US jobs report, so it was a bit of a washing machine... in the end the AUD crept up a bit and that's delivering a negative opening expectation on Monday.
Its interesting to note on the graph below:
- Front month IO pricing (blue line) is effectively the same was it was 1 year ago (1 July 2023 - red line).
- But reflect on how much improvement there has been in longer term IO prices over the past year.... it's like a $15/t increase. That just does wonders for the outlook and terminal value of IO miners. Despite that, FMG is at the same price it was a year ago.
