Sodium-ion batteries make more sense for storage IMO than Lithium-ion batteries.
Weight and energy density is not a crucial factor for storage batteries.
Sodium is an abundant cheap material.
Safety, they won't catch fire like lithium-ion batteries.
Zinc-Bromide flow batteries would also be good for storage.
