Yes, well, there's no putting that genie back in the bottle. At least, it'll be only robots and drones shooting it out. I read that China now has a ship built specifically to carry only drones. These new drone and robot armies on all sides will be able to with AI communicate and act like swarms of bees or birds coordination wise. Then again, humans have had the ability to destroy the whole world many times over for years now, so it's hardly surprising that the moon is now showing such new interest.
