Opposition leader Peter Dutton says nuclearenergy will be a “great transition” for towns as it can underpin economic andjob growth for “eight to 10 decades”.
Oppositionleader Peter Dutton announced the Coalition’s nuclear plan at a media event onWednesday.
“Theapproach that we’ve taken is the right one – and that is to have a stagedannouncement in relation to this policy so that people can understand each elementof what it is we’re proposing.
“It’s important to understand that we’re only talking aboutend-of-life coal-fired power station sites.
“That’sthe vision that we have, not just for those towns, but for our country.”
