I too am strugling to fully understand the implications.
To simplify it seems to me that the directors will invite investors (presumably via brokers to sophisticated and insto investors)to stump up $20m which BPH will use to buy Advent shares at the Advent bookbuild price.
So BPH ends up with more shares issued (ignoring consolidation) but has a higher MC because it now owns more Advent shares. Plus the value of each Advent share will have been made explicit via the bookbuild process.
So my question is:-
in theory will the value of say 10,000 BPH now increase or decrease after they trade again on 3 Dec?
I guess it critically depends on the price of the Advent bookbuild and this wont take place until a regulatory approvals are in place for the drill.
Can anyone shed further light?
