You're joking right? "Why would any party not replace her with another Muslim?" Props to the Senator for letting an action paint a thousand words. It really is the fault of Labor that they selected someone who could be so easily corrupted into breaking the Party's rules, but why would they ever put a Muslim on their Senate ticket again? Once bitten twice shy is still a thing, and this one has been very embarrassing and a right pain in the ass for the Government when they really wanted to be talking about something completely different.
The Senator has less than a year to make hollow speeches to empty chambers and to ask the odd question of her former colleagues about Palestine to which Labor will deliver the exact same response. Then she's a nobody. And Palestinians will still be getting blown up. She really didn't think this through. She could have become a poster child for her cause, instead I think she got bamboozled by whisperers.
Having watched Insiders yesterday I think it more likely than not that the Greens have been pulling her strings the whole time. Unfortunately for her, her new friends won't be offering her a home on their ticket.
