The short term gains made by the inept C suite who with their blinkers on and narrow business skills pushed production and sales by ignoring safety and engineering practices has now all but disappeared in a flash. Billions in penalties, regulators blocking their production numbers and reputation damage will have decimated those past profits. They now mention 120 plus whistle blowers have stepped forward and from the ones we have had heard from tell us they were putting out new aircraft with low quality cheap titanium parts from a Chinese source, components not up to standard and instead of been thrown in skip bin installed, oversized rivet holes and the list goes on. Where are the regulators on this, those aircraft up flying with people on board. Should not these be grounded and all defects be dealt with? We are probably talking of the A/C numbers in the thousands Boeing should be up for those costs as they are found liable, if so those gains diminish more so.
The CVM sensors are a proven device that work, are accurate in their measurement and are reliable, ask Tony Roach and huge savings are made by a 15 minute measurement taken at the gate replacing a 3-4 day stint in a hanger for NDT measurements with no future shortfalls expected in the profit margins they deliver.
