It clearly demonstrates the huge disparity in everyones guess to the final sale price. 30cents to $30. The debate will be a constant amongst members.
The SKHynix group have speed and size up to scratch , but the endurance has fallen well short. We are currently well in front with Retention and Endurance at ten to the power of 9. The Imec article stated fast read and write speed, with retention and endurance at 10 to the power of 12, is what the industry is DESPERATE to solve. The position is vacant as you stated, all waiting for the cure/position to be filled. How much of a hole exists? Can anyone one of us really ponder the significance. The position has been vacant for 20 years. How much longer will it take to supersede what 4ds has achieved and could achieve with a 20nm chip. You could be the only supplier for the industry, for another 20 years. What's that worth???? Augmenting Dram, write your own ticket if successful, indeed. The HBM's are a temporary fix. We have 300X the Endurance SKHynix has achieved, and on a larger 60nm chip. It more emphasis the support we are receiving form our research facility.

A successful 20nm is what the big boys want. Until then, get lost. But, if you succeed, and prove it with a chip, name your price is the response.
It is bigger than most can foresee.

The other poor management contention floating about, has merit. Many a manager I encountered, couldn't find a tinny in a brewery.
