CIA.AX also have a high-grade hematite deposit that is suitable for EAF’s and is rightly touted as ‘green steel’. They are high cost, being based in Canada’s Labrador trough where it’s under snow for long periods of time, but it’s one of the few actual such projects that have got up (unlike failed bull market pumps like HIO.AX and MGT.AX).
But my point remains: any journo saying green steel demand and technology is catching up (and threatening) met coal clearly hasn’t done much work in the space. It may one day. That day isn’t very close. Cheers
