...and the stocks that do well do exceptionally well while the stocks that do badly do exceptionally bad.
...so it means dump the dogs and stay with stars, but prepare to take profits before it disappears. IMO too late for investing (for the long term) at this point in the market.
...the dogs won't recover and/or won't recover in time, while the stars will shine until they don't. And when they don't, its over.
The equity market's behaviour is particularly 'ODD' at the moment reflecting a market having sprinted to a record altitude and now it's gasping for 'breadth'. Next step is for it to become disorientated, giddy & then finally to vomit profusely
