My bet is on vanadium (same periodic group as Nb) and sulfur polymers.
Niobium has demand aplenty simply from electronics, nuclear industry (think, more reactors) and metamaterials (superconducting) demand.
The reality is there will be a mix of technologies partly for supply security and ongoing development, but anything that bumps up the Nb price from competition is a good thing for WA1.
Maybe even Nb anode batteries and nuclear (neutronic) shielding demand will increase when Mr Potato Head becomes PM.
I for one can't see EVs uptaken as a mass adoption by the public until we get comparable charging times and a decent bloc of baseload nuclear. It isn't desirable or feasible without that.
