"Another case in my town yesterday of a respected church goer bashed by 3 thugs in his driveway.Flown to Melb in critical condition.
People are sick of the violence and most couldn't give a stuff about what the PM is wearing."

I agree, head2641, that crime the rate of violent crime is totally unacceptable.

But why do we have increasing rates of violent crime?

    What are the factors?

I suggest there are many. Let me start. Others may have other ideas.

Up here in Beattie/Bligh Queensland, the punters have endured years of socialist ideologies. A long term Labor government that has been responsible for appointing their like minded friends to the Judiciary.

    The result of the years?

    Diminished sentences for violent crimes.

The crime figures released by the Queensland Police Service yesterday, indicate escalating levels of violent crimes being perpetrated by the 10-14 year age group. Now that gives us something to look forward to in the future, doesn't it?

Also, one in four police officers have been assaulted on duty over the last year, but not one offender has done jail time for these assaults.

Are you starting to get the idea why crime is rising?

    cheers.
