we dont know. im confident the May team considered all the pros and cons in their design.
the problem with unit 1B in alameda 2 is someone pumped too much cement in and it went into the production zone.
anyway, they sounded confident they have an answer for it and yesterdays gant chart says acidisation, so they know what to do. they still need to design the finer details of the intervention, and that involves detailed understanding of chemistry down the hole.
