Don't try to weasel out that what I said isn't the correct interpretation of what you say right there. It does affect them, because the company eventually makes less money or goes under, so people get fired or get paid less, so to think that anyone other than the lowest level grunts (in any company that is) have the mindset, yeah, all good we get paid either way, is stupid.
