I don't live in Victoria, but I have been following what people like you have been saying for several years about some of the issues there.

You have obviously been very outspoken about the mismanagement of the state's resources, so much so that initially I thought you might be embellishing to a degree, but I have to eat humble pie today, because you have been proven to be correct in your pessimistic assessment of the way the state of Victoria has been governed over the past decade.

The chickens are certainly returning to the roost, and one can't help feeling that it gets worse before it gets better.

But where I am in disagreement with you is in your sentiment of, "The Labor cancer in Victoria needs to be voted out in November 2026."

I can't see why another party should be installed to fix the parlous finances of the state. Taking on the job of governing Victoria is a poisoned chalice. Let those that created the mess try to sort it out.

Victoria's s interest bill approaching one billion dollars a month before too long means that it is going to a painful period ahead. It took a decade to get to this point; objectively, it is going to take a better part of a decade to reverse the process.

There's a Swahili saying: "Let the dogs return to their vomit".
Sounds most apposite in this case.
