The Diversity/Equity/Inclusivity (DEI) 'stuff' got torn to shreds in the media after the assassination attempt, thus the convention had a very different security detail where they SS didn't exercise DEI political correctness shenanigans, and just had merit/outcomes focus for their team selection (in this case, all big burly men).
