Happy to elaborate @rednoff and will keep it as concise as I can:
/ since the world's biggest lithium miner wanted to buy us for $3, we are now a much more improved asset;
/ Australia's richest person deliberately stopped them, she also has a history of recent acquisitions in this space and wants to diversify; she has strong connections to Korea and is already in a partnership with Rio in Iron Ore:
/ Rio also wants to diversify into lithium and is trying to get Jadar in Serbia off the ground when the best hard rock lithium mine in the world is ready to go in their own backyard; hard to understand this;
/ the press have been squawking about M&A in the lithium space for many months;
/ there is press talk that Rio should buy Arcadian as it is a better bet than Jadar where the mine would be 5 years away at least and Serb farmers don't want it; Anatol has speculated that Arcadian is a good merger for us and explained why in a recent post;
/ the longer a suitor takes to make a move the more expensive LTR becomes as the lithium price is predicted to improve next year, Anatol thinks this year and I am with him one that;
/ the LTR price action for many months has been dominated by shorting and IMO there is a clear and deliberate campaign to stop LTR going on a run and re-rate despite a flood of positive news that has come and is due. I have seen this conduct before, many of the LTHs have. Logically there is no sense for shorters to be in this share now as we are about to produce, we have all the funds we need and fantastic customers. So why are they here? To make money the price has to go down but logic indicates that it will go up. My answer is that they are here to deliberately suppress the price for a suitor to come in. As Anatol has said, it will not work as TG has the votes but a constantly suppressed price will still make any offer more palatable to all current shareholders;
/ If you believe in the EV and renewable energy revolution then you know that it can't be done without quality lithium. LTR is the jewel in the crown and is ready to go. It is likely the the resource will be increased after production as well. The logical time for a suitor to have another go is very soon otherwise the prize will have escaped like a slippery fish. If we can command $4 this year, which we soon can based on a comparison with PLS and its market cap, then we will be able to command $6 next year with dividends only 12 months away and so on. I am not saying I want a take over, I am just saying that it is commercially logical because we are the best target by a country mile in the world and we just get more valuable by the month now we are in production.
So what I am saying is that if we are to be taken over it will be before Xmas. I will even nominate a month, September, but that is just an educated guess. If I am wrong then I don't care as I am long and LTR will make us rich either way. If the shorters don't get out then it will be the opposite for them IMO.
