The extended warranty seems to be just limited to MG Thailand sales at present, I wonder if SAIC plans to extend it to other countries and other brands or even joint ventures that use their batteries. That would certainly shake up the EV market a little because all other makes of EVs would be under pressure to match their warranty which in turn would take away one of the EV detractors main arguments where they argue that they are worthless when their battery dies in "x" years and costs too much to replace.

It maybe just limited to a one off local promotion in Thailand celebrating MGs 100th anniversary although there is hardly any MG DNA left now after the brand died and was buried couple of times in recent history. I guess the Cyberster is an attempt to rekindle some of that long lost DNA although it is an expensive little jigger and there maybe a fair bit of resistance to forking out 6 figures for a Chinese sports car even if it does have a big battery warranty.
