That's all good & well but JR dropped the ball in not buying Leigh Creek Mining (our next door neighbour). Going back a couple of years at least, Ace or Deansy I think revealed the negotiations taking place & that JR thought he had them over a barrel & that we'd eventually get it for a song - oops.

Then there was the story of the JV with Pheonix - may have been discussion alright but wrong again, no result.

Sooner or later one of these 'great ideas' will actually come off, I hope.

I looked at the Pheonix Copper web site & this is from their home page:

"A new stage in our business lifecycle.
Phoenix Copper Limited has entered an exciting new stage in its business life cycle. The recent acquisition of Leigh Creek Copper Mine Pty Ltd (LCCM) has instantaneously transformed the Company from a Minerals Explorer to a fully fledged junior Mining and Exploration Company.
The Board of Phoenix Copper has developed a business model with significant longevity. This business model involves becoming a significant player in the development and mining of non-sulphide copper deposits, a niche market that gives Phoenix some unique competitive advantages.
The acquisition of LCCM has allowed Phoenix to develop a production pipeline with assets at all levels of development, from initial prospects right through to producing mines, which will provide a revenue stream for the foreseeable future. A revenue stream that will fund continued exploration in the hopes of even greater success.
An important part of this pipeline is the identified copper trend line between Kapunda and Burra. Recent tenement purchases have now given Phoenix Copper control over this entire trend line which it considers to be the most prospective in the Adelaide Fold Belt.
This trend line was identified as the 'Kooringa Member' within the Skillogallee Dolomite, or 'NMS9', by John Drexel in his PIRSA report 'A Review of the Burra Mine 1980-2008'. The NMS9 includes the Princess Royal Project which is at an advanced stage of exploratory development.
The Company is confident that the NMS9 contains more near surface deposits which will be added to its pipeline as exploration continues. Phoenix Copper is a junior explorer that has made good.
It has the prospects, projects and expertise to continue to build its business in a State that is pushing toward the forefront of exploration in Australia. The Company has found its niche as a non-sulphide copper producer, the profits from which will help ensure its longevity while also funding our continuing exploration program. This niche has been carved through hard work and excellent management. The team at Phoenix Copper look forward to exciting times ahead."
