Truth is a rare bird, a bit like true happiness, never kept captive long by the same person, always straining to be free, slippery, changeable.
Even scientists, who always labour at and sometimes discover a new scientific 'truth', change their opinions, when confronted with new facts, a new 'truth'. In the past it often took a century for the change of their 'truths' to take place - nowadays that whole process is accelerated.
Anyone who can believe in a face like 'The Donald's' - handsome in his youth, now mostly clown-like and grimacing 'fiercely' with a limp fist at half-mast??? can not be in possession of any kind of truth - he/she lacks commonsense and has fallen victim to the artificiality of our century. - he is out there 'clowning' in a circus.

However, fate was kindly to Mr Trump and he survived a serious attempt on his life - and the 'good' guy (whatever that means) now has Covid and has been showing signs of memory loss at every public function - so I'm guessing a Trump presidency is a given, but I bet the inconsistencies, the lack of true knowledge/education etc. of Mr Trump and his refusal to 'listen to advice' will trip him up.
I don't even want to contemplate the possibilities he will have for 'tripping up' - with huge consequences for the rest of the world

.....as a scientist myself may I indulge ?
Scientific theories are (usually) true up to a point , but not complete and evolve to encompass more truth .

eg the Bohr model of the atom worked for Hydrogen and did encompass some basic truths despite it's flaws ......was superceded by the quantum theory , but seems too harsh to me to just call the Bohr model wrong .....it was a stepping stone and did involve some truths - good enough for lower school students to apply and understand , but not for University students

we as humans build with each successive generation having the knowledge of previous pioneers as a base that we improve on

the disappointment to me is to still see some on this thread with the ability to deny science in favour of superstition , rumour and political convenience .
