WMC (Nickle refinery) which BHP took over, dumped for many years several K's from us and polluted the ground water.
At times when there was a plant issue, the dumping contained heaps of Nickle and you could see it shinning on the edges of the pond.
In later years they spent millions on installing another plant, which would then mean, no more dumping in the tailings pond.
But this plant also had the ability to exact gold that was apparently also going out with the tailings.
The gold would then go back north for further refining.
The dollars it produced in gold, was going to pay for this plant in 2 yrs.

So that raises the question, how much gold went out to the tailings (big area), considering the many years that it was getting pumped to the tailings?
You would think that it would be worth recycling?
Perhaps I better sneak out there and start panning for gold, are Ya coming
