    Just doing a bit of research. Securing critical minerals in the US is still a priority for the Republican party, though not to support the climate strategy as much as it is to cut reliance on China entirely and ensure that military and industrial needs are prioritised, then consumers.

    This came from a republican submission for the National Defence Authorisation Act (NDAA) (FY23).
