theres a clear rise of far right politics building around the world. the changes since Howard's time are manifest of those happening elsewhere. and the further to the right significant pollies go, the more threat there is to the global economy imo.
Trump's isolationist policies spell bad news for the US economy. but I doubt the world or the US is doomed - unless the worst predictions of Trump's plans are realised.
I've come to realise that Trump's fascination for Putin and Kim are related to how he see's himself and his plans to isolate the US from the rotw.
no man is an island and neither is any nation capable to growth if they isolate themselves. its a global economy and has been since WW2.
