So Peter went against Christ's instructions ? He told them to hopscotch over Jewish cities and head west.
Peter the black sheep of the flock ?

"For fear of the Jews" - which Jews ?

"For fear of the Judeans" - is what should be translated in English versions. Were the disciples afraid of all Judeans ? Obviously not.
They were afraid of a religious sect who had taken control of Judea and like it or not it would be Pharisaism or the sword.
