Would you mind clarifying where you sourced your quote stating “As Hancock moves towards 70% ownership…” please. I have attached a screenshot from Hancock Mining’s news page where the word “ownership “ does not appear. That one word makes a big difference to how their intentions may be viewed.
All in all I don’t disagree that Hancock may be a suitor for the HAW 19.6% but I believe NMDC via LCY are just as likely to be interested, perhaps more so. Should NMDC do the deal with HAW there is dilution to consider so to wrongly assume Hancock will take the 19.6% may bring consequences to LCY shareholders for better (larger share of project) or worse (substantial dilution).
