If we count today (19th July) and the weekend days then it is 9 days (including the 27th). However, as the 27th is a Saturday I would think that the decision would be released sometime next week before the 27th. I am approaching this with a view that Novitas will not want to go back on its original decision and therefore will opt for no coverage. I will be disappointed if that is their decision but I am resigned to the fact that it is quite a possible outcome at this stage. Novitas may be prepared to wait until PEB is able to provide the sort of evidence that it says is needed.
I have one hope and that is the fact that there is another agency involved this time round. It has an overseeing role and therefore could have a definite influence on Novitas. I believe it has been receiving and reviewing the information supplied in support of the PEB tests and therefore could provide a significant input into the final decision. Fingers crossed on that.
