So Net Zero Australia comes up with an estimate of $1.3 to $1.5 trillion to get Australia to Net Zero using renewables and think nuclear would be more expensive?
From the latest AEMO Integrated System Plan, the expected average demand for the NEM will be around 34 GW (300 TWh/8760 hours in a year), with a peak load of around 50 GW. Using the GenCost report estimate of $8.50 per Watt for installed nuclear capacity, we could build 50 GW of nuclear capacity for around $450 billion. What am I missing here?
