Depends how you look at it...
Sounds like you have a myopic view of the situation. Is it more important that Ukrainians are being used as a tool of the west, or is the focus on 'sticking it to Putin'?
I used to consider myself 'a bit anti-Russian' actually, but the past 2ish years have been eye-opening.
One side has been refusing to negotiate, the other side gets mocked for even suggesting a temporary ceasefire.
